Learn how to perform a full length Improvised Narrative show and all the skills that help make that fun and easy!
Who is this course best suited to: This course is for people who want to add skills to their improv technique. It’s expected that participants have some long form improv training - at least two 8 week courses.
What to expect from the course: Spend the morning delving into the skills that make an improvised narrative work seamlessly. Then in the afternoon, you’ll work on the narrative form and finish the day with at least one whole run through of a 20 minute improvised narrative. The skills you’ll cover are:
Story telling
Story Spine
Character wants
Character driven and emotionally informed scene work
Group scenes
Scene painting as an opening
If you’d like to see an example of Blanche’s approach to improvised narrative, come along and see Stella in action, they have been improvising a rom com at Blanche for years!
