1.1. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

1.2. These Terms govern your use of the website and the submission of events. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will indicate the date of the last revision at the top of this page.

1.3. Your continued use of the website after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Use of the Website

2.2. Users must use their own judgment when deciding to attend or engage with any event listed on the website.

2.3. The site team is not responsible for the accuracy, quality, or safety of listed events. Event details, including dates, times, locations, and ticketing information, are subject to change or error.

3. Event Listings

3.1. The site team will do its best to filter out events that do not meet the Site Rules, but cannot guarantee all posted events meet the stated criteria.

3.2. Event submissions are made by users, and the site team does not independently verify all details of each event.

3.3. Any posted event link or description does not imply endorsement or affiliation with the website or its team.

3.4. Users are encouraged to report any events they believe do not comply with the Site Rules. The site team will review and take appropriate action if necessary.

4. Liability

4.1. The site team is not responsible for inaccuracies in event details, cancellations, postponements, or other issues that may arise from attendance or participation in listed events.

4.2. By attending events listed on the site, users agree to do so at their own risk. The website assumes no liability for any loss, damage, or injury incurred during or as a result of participation in an event.

4.3. The website does not guarantee uninterrupted access and is not responsible for technical issues, downtime, or data loss.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1. All content submitted by users (e.g., event details) remains the intellectual property of the submitter. By submitting content, you grant the website a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote the submitted content.

5.2. The website's design, layout, and branding are protected intellectual property and may not be used without express permission.

6. Privacy, Data Handling, and Technologies Used

We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle data and the technologies used by the Service.

6.1. Event Information: Information submitted for events will be used solely for listing and promoting those events on the Service.

6.2. Optional Email Addresses & Data Retention: Event submissions can be made anonymously. If you choose to provide an email address when submitting an event or using the bulk import feature (for the sole purpose of being notified if your event is removed), you provide this information based on your consent. This email address will only be used for this specific notification purpose and will not be shared with third parties for marketing.

6.3. Website Analytics (Umami): We use Umami for website analytics to understand usage patterns and improve the Service. Umami is a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. It tracks aggregated data such as page views, referrers, operating systems, browser types, and general geographic location (country/city) in an anonymized manner. The legal basis for processing this anonymized data is our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the Service.

6.4. Spam Prevention (Google reCAPTCHA): To protect against spam and automated abuse on forms (e.g., event creation, editing, deletion, bulk import), we use Google reCAPTCHA v3. This service operates in the background and analyzes technical information about your device and browser (like IP address, hardware/software information, interaction patterns) to distinguish human users from bots. This data is sent to Google for analysis. Your use of forms protected by reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. By interacting with these forms, you acknowledge and agree to this data processing by Google for security purposes.

6.5. Mapping Services (OpenStreetMap and Geocoding): Event detail pages display maps using Leaflet with map tiles provided by OpenStreetMap (OSM). To determine map coordinates from addresses or postcodes, the Service may utilize third-party geocoding services (such as Nominatim or Postcodes.io). When these services are used, your IP address and the location query (e.g., the address or postcode) may be sent directly from your browser to the respective geocoding service provider. Use of OSM tiles is subject to the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy, and use of geocoding services is subject to their respective privacy policies.

6.6. Cookies and Local Storage: This website aims to function without setting non-essential cookies on your device. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. However, some essential functionalities or third-party services integrated into the site (like Google reCAPTCHA) may store necessary information locally on your device (using cookies or other mechanisms like local storage) as part of their operation. We do not provide a separate cookie consent banner as we strive to avoid non-essential tracking technologies requiring such consent. You can usually manage cookies and site data through your browser settings.

7. Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on your location (particularly if you are in the UK or EEA), you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to access copies of your personal data we hold (primarily any email address you provided for notifications, if still stored).
  • The right to request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • The right to request erasure of your personal data (e.g., your notification email address) under certain conditions.
  • The right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • The right to withdraw consent (e.g., for email notifications, although deletion is automatic post-event).

To exercise any relevant rights, please contact us at [Your Contact Email for Privacy Requests]. We may need to verify your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a relevant supervisory authority (like the UK Information Commissioner's Office - ICO).
